Survivalist.info : About this website

Hello! My name is Eric Cassano. I'm the webmaster for Survivalist.info

I'm also a pro-gun, anti-government, angry-white-male conservative who's preparing to survive a World War 3, nuclear armageddon, doomsday scenario. I'm your basic paranoid, bunker-mentality type who hoards survival supplies with a secret hope that they'll soon be needed. Then I plan to sit back and laugh at those who mocked me while I eat my freeze-dried ice cream.

Nothing turns me on more than a bucket full of grain and a wind-up radio. I have a camouflage hat and I know how to use it. I also dig the Art Bell show and far-out conspiracy theories. (Have you noticed all the strange, cloud-forming jet contrails lately?) I live in the northern part of California where I can hide out in the mountains and live off the land if need be. Sort of like the movie "Rambo" but with more action.

I don't drink, smoke or do illegal drugs. I get high by listening to great music. I'll listen to anything with a decent melody and a strong beat. My favorite style of music is Swedish-produced bubble-gum pop. Everyone knows that Swedish pop is pure musical perfection but many "hipsters" won't admit it. (These are the same edgy guys who have dedicated their lives to hating Paris Hilton). I predict that music by Britney Spears, 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys, Ace of Base and Robyn will be fully appreciated by the masses in 20 years. Other examples of perfect music would be the "Back in Black" and "Highway to Hell" albums by AC/DC.

I'm not a big fan of television but it's good to have around when real news actually happens. They should put a live camera on the front of a San Francisco bus and call it a TV show. It would be 100 times more interesting than what's on now. Either that or bring back "Lost in Space".

I'm a lifelong Republican and I live in a very conservative county in California. Although I don't have any kids myself, I'm very anti-abortion. I could never be a Democrat because the idea of killing unborn babies turns my stomach. Call me a radical but I'm in favor of letting babies develop naturally inside their mothers. Unborn babies should be treated with great respect and protected from harm. Hallmark really needs to come up with a new Mother's Day card. Something like this... "Happy Mother's Day Mom! - Thanks for not hiring a doctor to kill me when I was still in your womb."

The internet has really helped expose the horrors of abortion. On the other hand, the mainstream media has completely ignored this government-approved slaughter of human beings. I have a lot of respect for PETA but why aren't they protesting the killing of baby humans, too? Sometimes I'm tempted to post a photo of an aborted baby on this website. How could a person look at a photo of a bloody, little chopped up human and not conclude that it was tortured and killed? I guess the government figures if we'll accept this evil bullshit, we'll accept anything. People 100 years from now will likely look back at our society and shake their heads. They'll probably see abortion photos and think "What the hell was wrong with those sick, barbaric, savages?" Sort of the way we look back at Hitler and the Nazis now.

I'm not religious. I don't believe in god. I don't go to church. I don't need to be preached at every Sunday morning to know the difference between right and wrong. I'd rather sleep-in until noon on Sunday morning. I honestly don't think that some guy in a fancy robe knows any more about the afterlife than I do. Organized religion is a scam and just another way of controlling the masses with guilt and fear. Nice try jackasses but I slipped off the hook. (Ironically, I really enjoy Christmas music and Christmas cookies.)

I don't plan on ever getting married because I can't imagine living with the same person forever. It seems like it would get boring. I also hate dressing up for weddings and I'm not in to dancing. I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt guy. I must admit that sometimes I'm tempted to get married just for the delicious wedding cake and punch. If they ever come out with a programmable, life-like, robotic chick that gives back rubs, I may reconsider the whole marriage thing.... as long as we could elope.

Speaking of beverages. I've started buying soda pop made with cane sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup. Soda tastes much better when it's made with real sugar. It really lifts my spirits when I drink it. It also tastes colder and is more refreshing. Now that I've tasted the difference I can't go back to that nasty HFCS stuff. Some people say that all sugar is bad for you. I feed sugar water to my humming birds and they dart around like little rockets. Unhealthy my ass.

I'm really excited about this upcoming presidential election. I can't wait to cast my vote for Sarah Palin. I originally wasn't going to vote for John McCain but changed my mind when Sarah was added to the ticket. Sarah is a very classy, intelligent and beautiful lady. She'll make a great vice president. The catty liberal news babes don't like Sarah because she's so much prettier than they are. These so-called feminists are nothing more than hacks for the Democrat party. When a conservative woman actually becomes "empowered" they turn on her like an angry mob. The more they hate on Sarah, the more popular she becomes with real Americans.

Rock on Sarah!

Thank you for visiting my website! Have fun with your preps and cool survival gear!

Sick of the annual 9-11 pity party

It's September 11, 2008 and time for the brain-washed sheeple to "re-mem-borialize" the greatest failure ever of our immigration policies and national defense systems. I'm sick of all the 9-11 propaganda that bombards us each year. How many more years is this touchy-feely nonsense going to continue? It seems like this country has turned into a bunch of candle holding, teddy bear hugging, make-shift memorializing wimps. It's like some sort of new age religion that enjoys mourning a tragic event on and on forever.

If people really need an excuse to socialize, why not have a community barbecue or something positive for crying out loud? Why not do something productive and prepare for an emergency like a hurricane or earthquake. Instead, many people will just mill around holding candles while wallowing in thoughts of death and destruction. This isn't honoring anybody but the terrorists who were hoping for exactly this result. The whole 9-11 memorial thing has turned into a ridiculous spectacle and a national embarrassment.

Life is too short for these over-hyped counterproductive national pity-parties. When I die I don't want anyone wasting a single second of their time thinking about me ever again. Everyone needs to grow the hell up and realize that people die every day due to violent crimes, auto accidents, cancer, suicide and natural disasters. Do we only mourn the loss of life when the daily death count reaches some magical number?

I was recently invited to attend a 9-11 memorial and candle light vigil. While I appreciate the gesture, I can't bring myself to go because it just feels creepy and wrong to me. I don't think the people who died in the 9-11 terror attacks would want their deaths to be exploited by politicians and used by the media to boost ratings. People should save their candles for romantic dinners and emergency preparedness kits.

I realize that some people may think I'm uncaring and disrespectful when it comes to 9-11. This is because they've been conditioned to think a certain way by the media and government. It's politically correct to mope around and get all misty eyed on 9-11. I prefer to think for myself and I encourage others to do the same. It's really time for people to shake this 9-11 fog out of their brains and deal with the here and now.
